Hockeys Ghost (Visit this link)

Tom McCannMarch, 11 2005With the NHL season being called off fans are starving for hockey. I just recently attended a Philadelphia Phantoms hockey game this and it made me feel something I havent felt in a long time, the love for hockey. Even though the Phantoms lost the game it was still a great experience to be there. The crowd was loud at times with children and parents cheering the home team. Being in the old Spectrum the Broad Street Bullies played in brought back a feeling I once had watching the Philadelphia Flyers of old, and new. Sitting there with friends of mine enjoying a great game of hockey. I had the oportunity to go to the game with NHL.coms John McGourty and his family and a friend of mine. It was great to once again experience the sounds, smell, and hitting hockey has to offer. Even though there is not a season we still enjoy talking about hockey, players and the latest news on the sport. Hockey fans are different from other sports, they are a rare breed. Needless to say there will always be hockey, no matter what league there is. There will always be warriors flying up and down the ice hitting and bruising. There will always be fans there to watch, cheer, and boo their home team. Lets hope both sides can come together on an agreement before the start of next years season and realize money is money and hockey is still hockey.
